The Things In The Bed

These are the things in the bed with Sierra every night, I mean every night!  If we can't find one toy she is not going to bed, unless I can negotiate for another to take it's place!! (I pick my battles wisely!)
  1.  Elmo (#1 favorite toy)
  2. Larry Boy (Veggie Tales)
  3. Spongebob
  4. Alvin, Simon, Theodore (Chipmunks)
  5. Baby Worm (small wind up toy)
  6. Flicker (flashlight from Handy Manny)
  7. Stuffed chicken pillow
  8. Abby (from Sesame street)
  9. Muno, Tootie, Plex, Foofa, Brobee (Yo Gabba Gabba figures)
  10. Unicorn
  11. 2 smaller plastic Spongebobs
  12. Wind up robot
  13. Mr. Incredible
  14. space guy and rover (from Planet 51)
  15. Tyrone, Pablo, Uniqua, Tasha, Austin (Backyardigans stuffed toys)
  16. Blue (Blues Clues)
  17. Big Alvin (chipmunks)
  18. The musical crib toy she used as a baby (she doesn't use it, I guess it is decoration)
  19. A burp cloth from when she was a baby (uses to wipe her eyes or nose if needed)
  20. An assortment of other stuffed animals that are not critical to going to sleep.

If you notice Tasha on her Backyardigan pillow is not covered.  That is because Tasha is her favorite and Sierra and Elmo lay their heads there.  Items 1-15 come back out with her every morning, these are her everyday toys she plays with.  Now the very special ones are Elmo, Alvin, Simon, Theodore, and Spongebob, they go with her in the car as well.  They have to be strapped in the seat belt with her!

It started out with with just Elmo and Flicker, then it slowly grew to this.  The unicorn was added last night when we couldn't find Brobee and I negotiated to have the unicorn sleep in it's place.  We found Brobee today but now the unicorn has become one of the pack!

I don't mind doing this for her every night if it makes her feel secure.  The only problem we have come across is that if she wakes up in the middle of the night and doesn't see one of them, she gets upset.  That doesn't happen too often, so we are good for now, until we have to buy another bed just for her toy friends!
